VP COMMUNICATIONS

The communications portfolio is all about branding, marketing, and public relations. Everything you see that has to do with SSC, whether it’s a facebook or instagram post, a graphic, a video, or even this website is the responsibility of the comms portfolio! As the VP Communications, my responsibility is to ensure everything we produce follows brand guidelines, ensure that the student body at-large is up to date on all council events and initiatives, and maintain all social media and internet presence of council.
I have a team of 5 commissioners: The Director of Communications leads the Communications Committee, alongside the Director of Photography and Videography, to produce content for SSC. This includes creating the amazing graphics for all of our events and initiatives, all the fun videos we make, and taking photos at events. The Editor-in-Chief of The Current oversees a team of writers that work together to produce content for our science publication. The Internet Commissioner maintains both our and The Current’s websites to make sure you guys can see find everything with ease!
