The academic portfolio is responsible for promoting and advocating for academic and educational initiatives concerning Western's science students. The portfolio is comprised of Research & Policy and Advocacy (which includes the 29 Dep Reps and First Year Rep team). As a team, the academic portfolio publishes surveys, writes policy documents, runs events and initiatives, works with Dep Clubs, and engages with faculty and staff, all with the purpose of improving the academic and professional well-being of science students.
