#WellnessWednesday is a year-long campaign to promote the mental health and overall wellness of the student community. Throughout the year, we’ll bring you activities like therapy dogs, movie nights, fitness classes, and art therapy.
What is Wellness Wednesday?
Across North America, Wellness Wednesdays have become a symbol of support for mental health awareness and advocacy. This year, the Student Support Committee is working with student-run organizations, Western faculty, and businesses across the city to show our love and support for students at Western. From classics like therapy dogs to new initiatives like “Paint Night ft. Bob Ross”, we’re here to support you throughout your journey at Western. #StayWellStudyWell.
The Student Support Committee focuses on promoting student well-being to ultimately enhance student academic success. Each year, we bring unique events that culminate in a Wellness Wednesday series emphasizing all aspects of wellness (emotional, physical, spiritual, occupational, financial, social, intellectual, environmental). This year, we’re hosting Wellness Wellness initiatives through a community-wide lens. Whether it’s “Yogurt and Yoga”, “Puppy ParTEA”, or “Bell Let’s Talk”, we are bringing the whole London community with us to change the culture surrounding mental health and to spread those happy vibes! #StayWellStudyWell
