Science Students' Council

Striving to help each Western University science undergraduate achieve the best student experience possible. Science Students' Council is composed of 57 members of the science community, including elected representatives that serve as your voice within our supporting Faculties, and appointed commissioners responsible for improving your undergraduate experience. We are your link to the University Students' Council, the University Senate and the various departments within the Faculty of Science and the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry.

We're here to help! Below are just a few of the things that the SSC has to offer you to make your experience here extraordinary.

We plan events that enhance your student experience. From academic planning, to famous guest speakers, to dance parties, we’re sure to have something you’ll love to attend.

Locker Rentals

Carrying your belongings around campus all day is a real drag—luckily you don’t have to! Rent lockers located in the Natural Sciences Building so you can store your stuff.

Student Grants

Do you have an idea? The SSC Student Group Grants give Western Science students the opportunity to receive funding for projects that enhance an educational experience.

Borrowing services

Forgot something you need for lab? Swing by the SSC Office or Taylor Library and borrow a lab coat, safety glasses, or calculator. Note that a cash deposit is required.

#WellnessWednesday is year long campaign to promote mental health and overall wellness. Each week, we bring you activities like therapy dogs, yoga, games, and art therapy.
