Second Year Survival Guide - Med Sci

Bring your questions for Chem 2213, Biochem 2280, Stats 2244, & Methods 2290 to our panel of experienced 3rd year students. They will answer all questions you have as well as give INVALUABLE insight/tips & tricks for succeeding in the difficult 2nd year medsci curriculum.

ALSO THERE IS FREE PIZZA FOR THOSE IN ATTENDANCE

At the beginning of 2nd year, most Medical Science/Science students enter classes with a preconceived notion of dread for the courses ahead of them. Upper year students have ingrained in them thoughts like: “Every course is terrible” “It is impossible to score a decent GPA” “2nd year is the worst year of undergrad” “The courses are designed to weed out people.” While 2nd year is undoubtably difficult, it is not as impossible as these notions would lead you to believe.

*NOTE: Questions about non-core medical science/science courses (ex. Phys 2130, Ecology 2483 etc.) can be adressed if the panelists are willing and able to answer them (ie have taken said courses) however those questions should be held onto until after the Q/A section of the event.
